Welcome to our estate – the home of the Gierer family! My name is Robert Gierer, and it is a great pleasure to introduce you to our family and our passion for the finest spirits. For generations, we have dedicated ourselves to the art of producing high-quality brandies from the best fruits of the Lake Constance region on our fruit farm in Bodolz near Lindau. Distilling has now been a tradition in our family for four generations, and we have perfected this art over the years.
Our premium brandies and fruity crema vinegars are now renowned far beyond the shores of Lake Constance and delight connoisseurs from all corners of the country. From prestigious Michelin-starred restaurants between Lindau and Sylt to the Lufthansa First Class Lounge – our specialties are appreciated everywhere. We are particularly proud of our approximately 20 different brandies and liqueurs. A highlight of our range is Elvados, a unique brandy made exclusively from Elstar apples. It develops its distinctive, smooth character over eight years of aging in French oak barrels.
Besides classic spirits, we also offer exciting creations such as a single malt whisky matured in a bourbon barrel, our premium rum, and the premium GIN39. Furthermore, my wife Kerstin and I specialize in the production of mild and fruity balsamic vinegars – including varieties made from raspberry, cranberry, date, pear, and hazelnut.
But it's not just the quality of the raw materials that's important to us. The careful processing of the fruits we immortalize in our distillates is particularly close to my heart. Equally important to me are the presentation, bottling, and above all, the tasting of our products. The imposing castle arches of the tasting room on our estate create a truly special atmosphere – a touch of Tuscany that is both elegant and down-to-earth, just like the centuries-old cultural landscape that surrounds us. Here, in this beautiful setting, our guests can experience the diversity of our specialties during a personal tasting.
